This hotel was our family favorite during our travels in Peru. From the moment we arrived we were treated to such a warm welcome by staff at the front gate and then at reception desk. As we walked to our rooms, every area from the cafe at the front, through the lobby, bar and courtyard, charmed us with its traditional Peruvian decor and artwork. Our rooms were spacious, with big windows that opened up to the inner courtyard offering a beautiful view of the fountain and gardens. Also, a comfortable bed and clean bathroom with a good, hot shower and nice toiletries. Breakfast was wonderful with many choices, attentive staff that made sure everything was well stocked. You could also enjoy your breakfast in the front courtyard set up with umbrella covered tables, surrounded by trees and small gardens (hard at times to realize the hotel was in the middle of the city). Natalia and Ximena at the front desk were so nice to us during our stay, offering information about things to do in the area and recommendations for restaurants nearby. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in their elegant bar area trying out the pisco sour and local wines.

Where do I even start? This hotel is simply excellent! The location in the centre of Miraflores is fantastic with numerous excellent restaurants within walking distance. The property itself is an old colonial mansion and exudes an old world charm and elegance. The most outstanding aspect about our stay here was the staff. I have never met such consistently charming, efficient and friendly staff in a hotel before. It’s a shame I did not get to learn their names but each and every member of staff from front desk during our two stays (before and after going to Cusco) were simply outstanding and all spoke perfect English. They even remembered us when we returned from Cusco (with a warm ‘welcome home’) - including the porters! The prices for our stay were also extremely modest and affordable. Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in without a doubt!

This is a lovely, beautifully decorated hotel in a very safe neighborhood. We walked all over sightseeing during the day and at night to restaurants and always felt very safe. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very friendly and extremely helpful. When we returned to the hotel after being away the staff would greet us and welcome us back. The rooms were large. My bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. There are many common spaces to sit in and chat with friends including a balcony that was delightful. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the free breakfast was very good. I had laundry done and it was not expensive and everything came back perfectly. I was there for 4 nights and loved every minute of my stay.

We stayed here for a few nights before and after our trip to Cusco. Decided to get a bigger room on the return stay as there were 2 of us, and it gave us a bit more room and well worth it. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and had some good sleeps after all the hiking in the Sacred Valley. Breakfast at the hotel was a great way to start the day but they have a good restaurant as well. I'm not a coffee person but my friend loved the coffee they served. Close by, you can walk to other restaurants and cafes. We walked to Huaca Pucllana Site Museum in Miraflores and up to Museum of Contemporary Art in Barranco area from the hotel if you like to walk the city.

After staying several times at this hotel, it was good to see the upgraded lobby area, dining area and rooms. It is beautiful and certainly puts this hotel on par with any boutique hotel you might find in the States or Europe. Rooms are not large, but clean and inviting. They even provided a heater for us which was appreciated. The new cafe has many choices and the food is delicious although a bit pricey. Next time we go to Lima we will stay here again. The shuttle service the hotel ordered to pick us up at the airport was timely and well priced. The neighborhood is becoming even more trendy and convenient and feels safer than remembered.
